Welcome

How can we help you?

Crossroads has been in the Pella community for over 36 years asking this question to thousands of individuals each year. Crossroads can provide help in a variety of ways, but most importantly it is a place to start. If there are mental health, employment, family or conflict issues, we will develop a plan.

Review the information located on this page and if you or someone you know needs assistance,
call Crossroads at 641-628-1212!

Crossroads relies on the generous donations of supporters to continue providing programs to uplift the community.  Please consider donating to Crossroads of Pella.

Financial AssistanceFinancial Assistance

Crossroads of Pella provides financial assistance to those in need. Families without basic utilities or housing are a priority. Families who chronically are unable to meet their bills will be referred for counseling in financial management. Upon initial request for funds, individuals are required to fill out a request form. This allows Crossroads staff the opportunity to inform families of programs in place to help low income families. Crossroads cannot guarantee assistance, but each request will be given thoughtful consideration. Call us at (641) 628-1212 or visit our office if you are in need of assistance. Please bring invoice for verification.

Illness Support/Transplant Fund

This fund has been established by Crossroads for Pella Community Residents facing transplant operations or extreme medical expenses related to an illness.  Crossroads determines who is eligible and provides an accounting of contributions. A committee has been developed to oversee disbursements. As a 501(c)3 non-profit, gifts given to Crossroads are tax deductible.

Injured Workers Funds

To assist our neighbors who work for an employer in the Pella School District, but now find themselves unable to work, Crossroads has established the Injured Workers Fund. Crossroads determines who is eligible and provides an accounting of contributions. A committee has been developed to oversee disbursements. As a 501(c)3 non-profit, gifts given to Crossroads are tax deductible.

Medicare Help

The Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) is provided through the State of Iowa’s Insurance Division. Medicare rules and regulations can be confusing and our volunteers are trained to help. If you or your spouse is approaching 65 years of age, let's explore your options.

Prevention Programs

Child abuse prevention and internet safety presentations are given to many adults and children in several Marion County communities.  Self-protection and having a person safety plan is essential in this educational program.
